Upstate SC Land Overview
The demand for raw acreage in the upstate remained strong. High quality recreational/timber/farm tracts priced appropriately continue to sell in a timely manner for unprecedented prices. Lower quality tracts are not trading at the same velocity as buyers are less motivated to transact on this product type when dirt values are at an all-time high.
The single-family development market was impacted by two major announcements in Greenville and Laurens counties. Moratoriums on cluster single family developments went into effect in both locations and projects that have already been approved will not be affected.
